Carols Beyond Borders 

For this holiday activation, we created “Carols Beyond Borders,” a bilingual Christmas songbook that invited protestors to sing for change outside the offices and homes of anti-immigration lawmakers

Pamphlets were sent to the 60,000 United We Dream activists during the Washington protests prior to the government shutdown.The songs themselves were classic Christmas Carols we all know and love, but injected with a powerful spirit of inclusivity to be more representative of all the immigrant perspectives.

We also launched a site where protesters could download the songbook for Christmas Protest Caroling activations. The songbook listed out locations where the protestors should converge and sing, like the offices and doorsteps of anti-immigrant congressional leaders. Together we fought hate with Christmas spirit. And we reminded people what Christmas is about: uniting humanity, not dividing it
